2017 – Research, evaluation and development

CIMI initiates and conducts activities in all aspects of enrichment and expansion of professional knowledge about migration and integration. This includes conducting studies (most of them financed by PIBA), evaluating existing projects, and developing new ones. The knowledge and conclusions drawn from the studies are disseminated to all relevant parties in Israel and abroad with the goal of having them assimilated into everyday work. The organization has been a partner in studies on the contribution of migrant workers to productivity in the Israeli economy and a survey of attitudes to migrants within Israeli society to migrants, and has collaborated in academic programs with universities in Israel.  Along with this, CIMI conducts research to monitor the implementation of the bilateral agreements and examine the recruitment mechanisms and way in which the workers are employed.
