2000 – Global activity for migrants and diaspora populations

Several of CIMI’s projects were incorporated into the framework of AJJDC’s international development programs. Examples include efforts to collaborate in integration programs run by organizations for Spanish speakers (chiefly from Mexico, El Salvador and Nicaragua) in the United States, cooperation in working methods of diaspora organizations (mainly assistance in development in their countries of origin), and experience of small businesses and integration.

In the early 2000s, CIMI continued to work with the IOM in Geneva in three main areas: different aspects of-integration mainly at the municipal level; Israel and the Jewish People’s efforts in development of the country of origin with the assistance and partnership of the Diaspora; and assistance to vulnerable migrant populations.
